I'm into the play-by-play NYC style. I live on the West Coast and recently found the blog. It's good to be updated on eact coast rants. I found out from the blog about the plane before I heard from other media.
NNHS 1990 go tigers!

I went at a Red Sox spring training game in March that was delayed for several hours when the Phillies team bus got caught in the backup after a tanker accident on a Tampa highway. We grabbed some beers and parked ourselves in the front row to wait for the game to start.

Finally some Phillies finally began trickling out of the dugout, and the fans gave some mock cheers. Cory Lidle walked past us, I said, "Long bus ride?"

Lidle turned to me, rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue, and said, "Ugh, the WORST! Five hours!" and continued on his way to the bullpen. It was a rare moment to not only talk to a professional athlete, but for him to give an honest answer, like he was dying to complain about what a crappy bus ride it had been.

It was the second-best player interaction I've ever had, next to the time my friend yelled to Miguel Cairo, "Hey Miguel, Jeter or A-Rod?" Cairo made a face like, are you kidding?, and yelled back, "Jeter!"
